Three GPUs Make For One Powerful Gaming System

"Two GPUs are great, but are three that much better? When it comes to multi-card scaling, can AMD finally beat Nvidia? Who really needs this much performance? We loaded a super-fast system in single-, dual-, and triple-GPU configurations to find out."
Everyone raves about tablets and notebooks and smartphones but there are some reasons why desktops are still around. They can offer an incredible amount of processing horsepower. Yes, there are some notebooks that have dual video cards and while they are more portable (marginally) than your traditional desktop, notebook GPUs do not perform quite as well. The review by Tom's Hardware covers games, but I do have to wonder what sort of performance would be seen if you used such a setup for its GPGPU capabilities. While such a setup can let you game at resolutions that could probably be as detailed as the Hubble Deep Field, the speed at which it could encode your home videos means you would probably have your updated videos even before you finish filming.
