APEX AD-8000N Connected DVD Player

"APEX Digital is getting set to launch their first connected DVD player in the next coming months. Powered by Digital 5's middleware networking and user-interface software, the progressive scan AD-8000N will not only be capable of playing DVD, MP3, and WMA files from discs but will also be able to connect to a home network (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) enabling consumers to enjoy their personal audio, digital picture, and video content from their PC, as well as Internet premium content services."
This seems like a fantastic solution to those that don't want a DVD burner or pay the fairly steep price for blank DVDs. This way you can create your movie, or download some hi-res content onto your PC and be able to sit back and watch it on your TV.
