Disney Still Trying To Reach Deal With Pixar

Micheal Eisner is still holding on to hope that some kind of deal can be struck with Pixar. Personally I think he's been huffing fairy dust. Pixar is a major success story, and I think their track record speaks for itself. With many popular animations under their belt, Pixar has established itself and no longer needs to hold on to Disney's coat tails.
"Hope is apparently not all lost for a revival of the film distribution deal between The Walt Disney Co. and Pixar Animation Studios. Disney Chief Executive Michael Eisner declared to a Webcast investor conference that there's still a chance for a deal, even though the companies were not in talks. "I will not believe it is over until it is over," he insisted. The CEO opined that Pixar would benefit from Disney's marketing machine."
