"Laks, an Austrian-based manufacturer of watches, has released a sports watch that also doubles as a digital audio player. At first glance it's hard to distinguish the Memory Music from a regular analogue watch, but upon closer inspection you'll notice that there are audio settings on the clock face and a USB 1.1 port that is nearly hidden in the black plastic strap. By simply plugging the watch into the USB port of your computer, you can then transfer audio tracks or data files for use on the move. The watch is very bulky and will only appeal to those who like the rugged look, although it's not waterproof and there are no built-in wireless connections for sharing files and synchronising with your computer. Nevertheless, the entry-level model (32MB) reviewed here costs just £60 and its sound quality is reasonable, so should find widespread appeal."
Cool stuff. Imagine wearing an MP3 player on your body, available whenever...and wherever you go. Unfortunately this watch is only available in non-removable memory form, at 32, 64, 128, 256 megabyte sizes. So this watch is obviously for the casual user, not hardcore audiophiles.
