"The 40GB version of its iAudio M3 player gains an extra 4mm in width, but otherwise is the same as its 20GB sibling: it has a big-screen remote control, plays MP3/WMA/OGG Vorbis files, and includes an FM tuner and microphone, either of which it will record from at up to 320kbps. It functions as a USB drive, so there’s no need to mess around with proprietary software and audio formats either. It’s also available in a cool new colour: brown."

The news link is in Japanese but I found a good translation of the product page here. The remote control for the device looks really nice with that large LCD, however after using the iRiver iHP series, I think it might be a drawback not to have an LCD screen on the device itself. The iRiver has an LCD on both the remote and the unit thus giving me the freedom of using the iHP 140 without the remote. This doesn't appear to be the case with the M3. It does however have the FM tuner and USB 2.0 support, not to mention the new 40GB HDD, and the sleek looks make it look real sweet.
