The Super Multimedia Receiver
Posted by Suhit Gupta in "HARDWARE" @ 07:00 AM
This unit is certainly one that impresses. It is an ethernet-enabled receiver and it is able to stream any MPEG-1 or 2 and XviD video, MP3, WMA, WAV, and OggVorbis audio file, as well as JPEG, BMP, GIF, and PNG stills from a networked PC and output them to your AV system. It also has a PC card slot for importing images off memory cards which is something I have found few receivers to offer. It also has an audio system called "Supreme", which replaces the high-end sound shaved off by many audio compression format. It has a wide variety of I/O jacks - input jacks featured on the unit are D4, S-Video, Composite, Optical digital audio, Coaxial digital audio, and analog audio; output jacks are D4, S-Video, Composite, and analog audio. It also features an internal AM/FM tuner. It will be out later this year and will cost a cool grand.
