"Nikon Japan has today posted a firmware update for the D70 digital SLR. At the moment this firmware is available only on the Nikon Japan site with all instructions and release notes in Japanese, we expect other regions and languages will follow shortly. The D70's firmware is split into two section with this new firmware labelled as "A:Ver.1.01/B:Ver.1.02". It addresses several issues; removal of potential color cast at high shutter speeds, improved Auto ISO when used with speedlight, support for CF card greater than 4 GB in capacity, fixed an issue related to the CF indicator light and power off switch, improved Chinese menus."Dpreview points this out and I completely agree that one should usually wait for a firmware update specific to your own country to be released before updating your camera. In any case, I guess it is at least good to read about the fixes that are coming in the next version of the firmware update.
