Sneak preview of a Portable Media Center reference design

"While wandering the exhibitor aisles at Embedded DevCon, we were drawn to this slick looking reference design board in the Freescale (formerly Motorola Semiconductor) booth. The Portable Media Player Reference Design, a.k.a. "Jazz", runs Windows CE and is compliant with Microsoft's Portable Media Center (PMC) standard, according to Freescale.
Jazz uses a Freescale i.MX21 ("MX" stands for "Media eXtensions") processor based on the ARM926EJ-S core. Specifications of the Jazz reference design board include:
•15/20/30 gigabyte 1.8-inch hard drive
• 64MB SDRAM plus 64MB Flash memory
• 3.5-inch 320x240 16-bit color LCD
• Stereo decode, FM radio receiver
• TV output support in PAL and NTSC formats
• Push-button based user interface
• USB 2.0, Ethernet, and UART interfaces
• UAT/JTAG/Ethernet for development and debugging"
Some interesting information about the Portable Media Center. The only thing missing from the reference design is Firewire. :)
