TDK High-Capacity Optical Disc

"TDK develops new DVD sized optical data disc with storage capacity of 23.3GB. The TDK disc is compatible with Sony's Professional Disc for Data. To protect the surface, TDK incorporated superhard-coating technology. The disc is read using blue-violet lasers."
I wish I could read more about this but the full article can be found here and I was just unable to get access. Anyways, the TDK press release has some more information and also talks about the advantage of using blue laser based optical media.
