Perfection 2580 Photo Scanner

"Epson's latest flatbed scanner, the 48-bit Perfection 2580 Photo (275x419x86mm, 3.2kg), is the company's first to include an automatic film loader for digitising 35mm film. The rest of the A4 scanner's features are relatively moderate, including an optical CCD scan resolution of 2400x4800ppi, colour-restoration and dust removal features for restoring old and faded photos, and a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed interface. Building on the Perfection 2480 Photo, the Perfection 2580 Photo is identical apart from the built-in automatic film loader that lets you scan strip films of up to six frames."
I was very impressed when I had seen the first scanners coming out with the auto photo feeders built in, but this Epson takes it to the next step by allowing auto-feeding of film (albeit it is limited to six frames). As for framed 35mm transparencies, the scanner's slide holder rounds out its film, transparency and negative scanning functionality. Similar to the Perfection 2480 Photo, there is a multi-photo feeder for scanning up to 24 photos (10x15in.) available however, there is no support for a automatic document feeder (ADF).
