"In an iPod dominated society, where practically every citizen has or is related to someone who has the slender and milky-looking prided offspring of Apple, it is important for digital audio device manufacturers to somehow distinguish themselves from the all mighty iPod, in order to make a significant market presence. While there are more than a dozen iPod alternatives, most of them carry out the same functions as the iPod does, with a few twists here and there. But enter Digital Mind Corporation's latest creation, the Xclef 800, a smaller, more powerful, deviation of their first digital audio player/mobile hdd rendition, the Xclef 500, which we reviewed in June, which carries with it a few features that makes it stand above the rest. Could this be the killer device that will dethrone the iPod, or is just another weak attempt at being the best? This could get interesting..."
Another "iPod" killer that at least on paper looks great. I can't see how this will get me out of my iPod, but it might stop others from getting one. Also, can someone explain to me why they bother with FM (and poor reception FM to boot)? Why does AM get no love anymore? :?:
