AnandTech: "Microsoft's Windows Media Player 10 - Providing Some Pointers"

An interesting read that details some key aspects that Microsoft got right in Windows Media Player 10, and areas that should serve as a blueprint to Microsoft's competitors on how to build a better media player.
On a personal note, I've been sampling WMP 10 for quite some time now, and I must say I am very much impressed by what I see. A great deal has changed since the beta release. The final version is much more polished and refined. That said, I still prefer iTunes as an all-around Jukebox solution.
