Roadwired Releases "Skooba" Satchel

"The Skooba™ Satchel is like no other laptop bag you’ve ever seen. For starters, its unique construction and contours make it deceptively slim-looking—this puppy will hold most 17” screen laptops and a ton of gadgets, files and accessories. Next, it has a patented Air Square™ protection system that surrounds your laptop with hundreds of shock-absorbing, air-filled pouches. Surrounding the laptop compartment are pockets, pockets everywhere—over a dozen in all—to hold everything from your PDA to your Perrier. Skooba bags are also the first in the world to incorporate “Rivet Ready” attachment points, onto which you can mount the optional Rivet® micro clip system. Here’s the kicker… this bag, with all its bells and whistles, weighs a scant 44 ounces."

I'm a huge fan of Roadwired bags - they're phenomenally made, and so well designed that I find all my gear fits in them very well...except for my 17" HP laptop. It fits in the big MegaMedia bag that I have, but just barely (and it's hard to get out). And as much as I like the MegaMedia bag, the styling is a tad, well, boring. ;-) The new Skooba satchels have a bit of flair, and from the looks if it, clever design. If you tend to grab your notebook and go, this looks like a great way to carry it. And remember that subscribers can save $10 off anything at RoadWired that's $50+, and $20 off anything that's $100+.
