"There should be a box which can connect to the Internet. There should be a box with everything in it. It acts as a firewall, router, switch wireless access point, and can handle not only data but also voice, images and videos. Why does this box have to be in a computer or TV? It must be independent, one that's easy to use, with a very good GUI (graphical user interface) and remote control. We think it (the digital home) will be network-centric. It's not a computer or TV thing. Computers, TVs, cell phones, stereos, digital cameras, MP3 players or IP (Internet Protocol) phones are all components of this network. Even refrigerators will be connected to this box."Some interesting thoughts about the future of integration. Still I'd hate to think my refrigerator was unable to order more milk because my microwave was hogging all the bandwidth downloading a recipe for corn dogs.
