Toshiba's Monster DVD and HDD Recorder

"The award for best DVD & HDD recorder goes to Toshiba in Japan. Their RD-X5 packs a HDD of 500Gb. But Toshiba thought they’d top that and created this new monster, the RD-Z1. It’s the first 100% HDMI compatible DVD & HDD recorder (previously it was Digital 4 compatible), 600Gb of HDD space, 24Mbps VBR, Possibility to record two shows and watch a DVD at the same time, 2 satellite tuners (BS et Skyperfect), Analogue/Digital convertor, Seperate chassis for the HDD and DVD to prevent vibrations, 8x DVD-R and 5x RAM burner."
This Toshiba recorder with a 600 GB harddrive and DVD burner sounds to me like a monster! I wonder how many years of TV shows one can record on this DVD-HDD combo. :lol:
