Trouble in TiVo Paradise?

"The company downloaded a new version of its software to its DVR subscribers earlier this year. The upgrade includes a free service, called TiVoToGo, that allows subscribers to transfer copyright-protected programs from digital video recorders to notebook computers. However, there are some unexpected consequences."
Isn't TiVo nice to its customers by selecting only a part of them to act as guinea pigs for new software version and help to stomp out the bugs? If you are part of that group then you have the luxury of listing the bugs for TiVo software engineers, even-though you wouldn't want to. :roll: Anyone here own a TiVo that's acting as a guinea pig?
