Digital Home Thoughts: Record Simultaneously from Two Different TV Broadcasts

Akihabara have found a new tuner from Canopus Corporation, the MTVX-WHF, that can record 2 seperate, or record one and show another TV broadcast simultaneously on your computer. It supports the Japanese version of NTSC and includes a MPEG-2 hardware decoder. The price will be set between 12,000 and 15,000 Yen (around $140 / €110) and will start selling at the end of May 2005.



The dual tuner sounds nice, but isn't analog TV being phased out in Japan anytime soon? :? I'm waiting for the dual digital TV tuners to arrive...
