The New JVC Camcorders

"Let's start with a TRUE novelty, the GR-X5. This camcorder has a 1.3MP 3CCD eye and takes still pictures at a 5MP resolution. It's also 16/9-compatible. The big advantage of this model is the shape and design, which makes it very nice to hold in your hand. It fills up MiniDV and SD cards, and is quite small (88x89x93mm) and light (590g). No official pricing information is available yet. On to the false novelty with the Everio GZ-MC500 which is already available in the USA if I'm correctly informed. This model is an improved version of the GZ-MC200, but this one has, similar to the GR-X5, a 1.3MP 3CCD sensor and a 5MP one for the pictures. This model is also 16/9-compatible. The dimensions of this device are 80x55x118mm and it weighs 400g."
I'm partial to the GR-X5. The cube shape reminds me of a Borg cube with a big eye on the front. :robot:
