A sad day for Wal-Mart DVD subscribers. The retail giant has quietly announced plans to exit the online DVD rental space, and is now pushing its customers to rival service NetFlix. A message on the DVD section of Wal-Mart's site reads..."Great News: Wal-Mart teams up with NetFlix!", which in english translates into..."We're getting the hell out of this business. Get lost, losers!" Existing customers will have until June 16 to switch services. After that, the service ends.
Still, every silver cloud has a dark lining. Wal-Mart customers who sign up right now with NetFlix, through the provided link, can get the same low monthly rate. Booyeah!
