OSX Intel Hack Runs On Any PC
Posted by Kent Pribbernow in "SOFTWARE" @ 01:00 PM
Urban legend becomes reality! Hackers have once again found a way to bypass Apple's lockdown measures to keep its OSX x86 compiled developer release off of competing PC hardware. According to various sources, copies of the Intel friendly OS are circulating through IRC and P2P networks, allowing anyone to download and install OSX on their PCs. And those who have successfully managed to get OSX running on their PCs are reporting a rather startling revelation; OSX runs faster on PC than on existing Mac hardware...even the vaunted high-end G5 PowerMacs. Ironically this means that my four year old Dell system can run OSX faster than my few months old Mac mini. Oh the irony!
