"silex technology america, Inc. today announced at RetailVision 2005 the availability of the silex SX-2000WG, the first USB 2.0 Hi-Speed 802.11g wireless device server-ideal for wirelessly sharing USB devices across local networks. USB device servers provide easy network accessibility or sharing of USB products by client PCs on a Local Area Network (LAN) or wireless LAN. The SX-2000WG also extends the short USB cable limitation for a single user application, and is compatible with most USB devices such as multi-function or all-in-one printers, scanners, and printers. It also connects USB 2.0 Hi-Speed devices such as external storage drives. USB 2.0 Hi-Speed is up to 8-times faster than USB 2.0 Full-Speed devices."Amazing, I love the idea. I have so many USB devices that I have to move from computer to computer and a USB server like this would be fantastic. Works only with Windows devices for now apparently, which is odd since it is a USB device and transmits over wireless, so I don't see why it is OS sensitive. Anyways, it supports WEP/TKIP and costs $149.
