"Mulitmedia hard drive enclosures are a strange bunch. Basically they're portable media jukeboxes that give you the freedom to add your own storage drive, and once equipped, will playback various media formats through your TV or stereo. Today I4U has posted a review of one such device, the Macpower & Tytech Technology's TVisto, and found that it's an ideal way to store and playback hundreds of DVD movies (ISO images), DivX videos, WMA/MP3/AAC music, and other formats from any location you feel like plugging it in." Looks like a great device, except...it won't play back DRM'd files; and it won't connect to your wired or wireless home network. If you ask me, close, but no cigar.
