"The Thump mashup of MP3 player and alien sunglasses made news and caused jaws to drop, but it didn’t sell well. Too pricey, many people thought; perhaps too futuristic; uncomfortable for some wearers. Oakley has redesigned the headware for Thump 2, adapting its popular Gascan style, and the result contains fewer bulges in the frame than the first Thump. File support for AAC has been added to MP3 and WMA (but not iTMS-encrypted AAC, of course). A host of tiny improvements add up to a glowing review (with tons of pictures) from iLounge. Perhaps most important, the price has been lowered; the ground-level 256MB Thump 2 will retail for $299. Another $50 thumps you up to a half gig."While the added features are very cool, I don't know whether the $300+ is low enough. Anyways, check out the cool
Gascan design, the glasses upon which the Thump 2 is based.
