"Despite the name, Creative's Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor has less in common with the company's Audigy sound cards than it does with external video-capture devices like Turtle Beach's Video Advantage USB. It costs twice as much as Turtle Beach's offering, but its extensive functionality and superior performance make it well worth the price. Unlike the Video Advantage (and most other consumer video-capture devices), the Audigy Video Editor's broad feature set has almost no weak links. It boasts highly efficient hardware-accelerated video recording, 24-bit/96-kHz 7.1-channel audio playback, an integrated four-port USB hub, and an exceptional selection of analog and digital connectors that let you capture audio and video content and output it to almost any type of camcorder, VCR, TV, or set-top recorder."
Wow, this looks like a great product. It includes a complete Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS sound card and can both capture video from external devices and output it to them. It has a great selection of analog and digital audio/video connectors and provides hardware-accelerated video encoding. The review also says that it comes with first-rate software bundle. I also feel that the $250+ price tag is not bad at all. Has anyone tried it yet?
