muvee Releases autoProducer 5

"muvee Technologies, the pioneer and leader in Instant Personal Video, has launched the latest version of its automatic video editing software, muvee autoProducer 5. New features in this release give users more control over the pan/zoom motion that is applied to photos, make quick touch-ups and batch save/burn to DVD...magicSpot™ technology is a key new feature in muvee autoProducer 5 that enables users to control the pan/zoom motion that is applied to still pictures. The default 'Automatic' function applies motion based on the user's chosen style, while the 'Manual' option presents users with two overlapping frames that they can move around to specify start and end points of motion, as well as resize to control zoom in/out points."
A new version of muvee is out, and it looks like they've added more manual control for the photo pan/zoom effects, which is a welcome change. Users who own 4.x can upgrade for $29.95, users who own 3.x can upgrade for $39.95, and there's a special 25% off discount going on right now. The upgrade prices are very reasonable, but I find the full price of $99 a bit high - they have a promotion on their home page where you can save 25% off, so for $75 it's more reasonable. I wonder if they've improved the PDA/Smartphone export settings? I've bugged them about the incorrect settings for years but they never quite seem to update the product with my feedback. ;-)
