HBO Chief Interested in Supplying iPod Programing

"Time Warner Inc.'s HBO cable network hopes to make a deal at some point with Apple Computer Inc. to deliver programing to the video iPod, HBO's chief executive said on Thursday. 'I'm very excited by the video iPod," said Chris Albrecht. "At some point, I think we would have some arrangement with them.'"
Must be nice to have new clients coming to you. As a pay channel, they already sell their content, so this is really just an expansion of their sales channel for their original series. It will let them expand their market among individuals who know their shows, but might not subscribe since they don't find it cost effective to subscribe for just one show. Of course, there are those individuals that do subscribe for that one show and they might lose those subscribers as they move to this channel.
