"If you thought 500GB of space on a DVR was nice, then Pioneer is aiming to impress you. Akihabara News has the scoop on the impressive DVR-DT100 DVR. As you've no doubt ascertained, the Pioneer unit sports an impressive 800GB of storage. It also sports 2 TV tuners (1 analog and 1 digital) while also supporting DVD-DL and DVD-RAM. It also has an HDMI connector for making digital to digital DVR/TV love. The downside? The tuners can't record content in Hi-Def, which seems like a well exposed Achilles heel. However, the very slick, home theater friendly design should keep wives and girlfriends happy. You can get a model with only 500GB or 250GB of space, but why would you? No word on pricing, although you can expect to pay somewhere between "an arm and a leg" and "your first-born child.""Dude, that is awesome. When I was in Akihabara last year, I didn't quite see any devices like this one but they were close. The downside is that they were all quite expensive. Overall, DVRs in Japan were far better than the ones here but still, damn, the specs on this one are awesome.
