"Voting is now open in the Popular Photography & Imaging Photographer of the Year 2006 Contest. We've selected ten semifinalists out of hundreds of strong entries from around the world. Now it is your turn to help pick the three finalists who will be brought to New York City in July 2006 for the grueling 4-day Shoot-Out to determine who is The Best Shooter on the Planet, and who gets the $5,000 Grand Prize, along with the assignment to shoot the December 2006 cover of Photography & Imaging. Popular Photography and Imaging has a cool contest worth checking out. But more than anything else, I would recommend checking out some of these pictures. Some are just extremely beautiful. I am so envious, I wish I could take pictures like that.
