MeediOS Picks Up Where Meedio Left Off

" MeediOS is the natural extension of the Meedio platform. Though Yahoo purchased the intellectual property (IP) of Meedio, LLC in 2006, they did not purchase the product. MeediOS is a community which is continuing to improve Meedio with plugins and documentation. MeediOS is also a backup for MAID, the Meedio Add-In directory. MeediOS is on top of it an open source project which leads Meedio into the future. It's no hack, it's a Meedio inspired rewrite."
Details are scant, but this is good news for the future of media center-oriented PCs. Even if MeediOS isn't all that successful, competetion for Microsoft's Windows MCE can only be a good thing. Does anyone here still use Meedio? If so, what do you think about this news?
