Creative Puts Back FM Recording into Zen Vision:M Players

"Owners of some Creative Zen digital audio players can record FM radio broadcasts again. Firmware 1.60.01 for the Creative ZEN Vision:M, issued late last week, has restored its lost FM recording functionality. Last month we reported on Creative's disabling of the FM recording functionality for some of their products. Reports of lost recording ability began surfacing as far back as August, culminating in firmware updates to the ZEN MicroPhoto and Vision:M in early October."
Well isn't that curious? Nice to see it added back, though I have to admit I never used it. FM radio generally sounds like crap, so recording it wouldn't be something I'm interested in. I wonder why they put it back? Wouldn't it be interesting if they added it back in to have a competitive advantage over the Zune? The list of updates:
• Adds language support for Greek.
• Adds FM recording (for players with current firmware version 1.50.02 or 1.51.02).
• Optimizes photo thumbnail capability with Windows Media® Player 10 and 11.
