Specifications for the HTC Shift?
Posted by Jason Dunn in "HARDWARE" @ 02:59 PM
Some of this we knew some of this we didn't. The first interesting thing is that this specification says it runs both Vista and Windows Mobile 6 Professional. That's very interesting because when they were talking about it, it was strictly a Windows Vista machine. Now, seeming to take notes from the folks at DualCor, the HTC Shift is going to run both operating systems. Although I should point out that this document doesn't say HTC Shift anywhere - just "Shangri-La (X9500)". I wonder if the HTC Shift is going to be a Vista-only device and the X9500 is going to be a hybrid device that just looks very similar? Only time will tell.
800 x 480 screen resolution covering seven inches, 1 GB of RAM and 30 or 40 GB hard drive (likely a 1.8" drive), and an 800 mhz CPU rounds things out. We knew about the other stuff - Bluetooth, 802.11 b/g, VGA camera, GPS - but the 2800 mAh battery is news. I was curious about how they'd power this thing...I wonder what kind of battery life it will get?
