Sonos Brings Sirius Satellite Radio to Every Room in the Home
Posted by Jeremy Charette in "HARDWARE" @ 01:00 PM
I just got back from the Sirius Press Event at the Sirius Studios here in New York City, and the announcement that caught my attention was that Sirius Satellite Radio is now available to Sonos users. No new hardware is needed, as the added capability is available as a software update to existing Sonos customers. With a broadband internet connection and a Sirius subscription ($12.99 for new susbscribers, $2.99 for existing subscribers), Sonos owners can now stream Sirius radio to every room in the house. Since it's streamed over the 'net, no worries of poor satellite reception. Sirius is even offering Sonos customers a free, no-hassle 30 day trial to see if they like it. Great stuff, and it really cements Sonos as the best whole-home audio solution on the market. I'm Siriusly (sic) thinking about getting a Sonos system of my own.
