Skooba Skin Micro

After the break, we will see how well it works out.
Besides loving tiny laptops, I also have a bag fetish. I'm always hunting for the perfect bag. Usually perfect means something with lots of great pockets. I've found that often the best bags are not specifically designed for laptops, hence the value of using a sleeve. The Skooba Micro technically is a laptop sleeve that you might normally use to protect your laptop while inserted in another larger bag. However, due to the unique design, you can also use the flaps as handles rather than sealing it up.

The Skooba Micro is designed to accommodate laptops with dimensions of up to 12.25"L x 8.75"H x 1.25"W which is about an inch smaller in length and height then their next larger bag. My Averatec comes in at 10.5"Lx8"Hx1.25"W, which leaves enough space to add a notepad and a power adapter, but not so much space that the laptop flops around inside when by itself. The Skooba Micro is well padded with fairly dense padding all the way around that reminds me of the stuff used to make the padded mats that kids take naps on.

The Skooba Micro comes in a variety of fabric and color choices. This particular skin is made of brown corduroy. I also have a larger skin made of blue ultrasuede. Both are of excellent quality, including the stitching and I have no doubt that the rest of their fabric choices are equally nice. If you're the artistic type, they also offer a plain one that you can customize yourself with your own artwork.
The Skooba Micro is really well designed and well made laptop sleeve that I think is a great value at $27.95.
