Mmm...Delcious RAM from Kingston

That RAM looks good enough to eat! My supportive friends at Kingston (hi David!) sent me their new HyperX 1066mhz DDR2 4 GB kit. It's a quad-stick kit, meaning it's meant for motherboards with four RAM slots, where the user wants to fill all four up. This helps keep the cost relatively low ($192 USD MSRP), but gives the user 4 GB of fast RAM. This RAM is for a little project I wanted to work on - remember the monster media machine I built last year, the Shuttle SD39P2? Well, I was never able to overclock it as much as I thought I should be able to - and I think the 800mhz RAM was holding the system back. One email and two days later, Kingston delivers me this new RAM to test out. I won't be able to dig into the testing until sometime in April (I have a vacation coming up), but look for a Quick Look article then about my experiences with the RAM - I suspect I'll be able to get some nice speed out of thatIntel Core 2 Extreme X6800 CPU.
