Lightroom 1.4.1 Released, Lightroom 2.0 in Public Beta
Posted by Jason Dunn in "Digital Home Software" @ 10:00 PM
Adobe released Lightroom 1.4 a few weeks back, then abruptly pulled it within 24 hours of releasing it - and now it's back in the form of 1.4.1. These are some of the features that were announced with version 1.4, so I suspect that's still the main list of what's improved. No big changes, but the application continues to mature. I hope they've fixed the bug where JPEGs have the EXIF Camera Time/Date stamp of the time you did the export from Lightroom, rather than the time you took the picture. I have to use ACDSee to fix all my photos after I export them and it's a bit of a pain.
In other Lightroom news, Lightroom 2.0 is now in public beta - you can go download your copy today. The list of new features isn't exactly well-articulated, but this review contains some of the highlights. Any current Lightroom users out there? What do you think of it? I'm currently using it to go through 2000+ photos from Japan and it's a very useful tool (though certainly it could use some improvements).
