Wii-Style TV Remotes My Be Coming Soon

"Research firm, Strategy Analytics, has published a new survey report titled “Consumer Imperatives for Digital TV Media Browsers” which found that Wii-style, motion-sensing TV remotes may be the next big thing for browsing media applications in next generation TVs."
Thinking about the concept of being able to point to something on the TV and click a button to "activate" it seems like such a simple concept. Well, actually, it's what we've been working with for computers for a long time. But TVs seem to have been avoiding this for a long time. Perhaps there are some technical reasons behind it, or cost, or both. Either way, I think the market would greatly welcome being able to navigate channels, etc. by point and click, instead of a conceptualized "up, up, down, down, left, right, left, right, select"
