Fords Cars Want You to Touch Them

"Ford CEO announced plans to pipe internet content into future Ford vehicles as part of a system called MyFord Touch. So think touch screens, traffic information and graphic controls for the music system. "
Microsoft already has a joint venture with Ford known as SYNC, which looks pretty cool, and this looks to be just an extension of it. Now, of course, the capabilities of SYNC and MyTouch will draw some comparisons to K.I.T.T., which was a GM vehicle. No word on whether General Motors is going to offer a similar service, but word is that Kia has just inked a deal with Microsoft for something similar. I also find it ironic that Microsoft is ending a similar service, MSN Direct, in the coming year. Still, what might eat at my craw about all of this is that this will probably be just another add-on monthly service that I will have to pay with my car!
