A Balloon And A Camera Equals Amazing Shot Of Earth

"The unearthly beauty of this image taken high above the planet would make Nasa proud. But it didn't need millions of pounds of technology to capture. Just a little British ingenuity that saw a standard digital camera taped to a helium balloon and floated into the sky. Space enthusiast Robert Harrison managed to send his home-made contraption 22 miles - or 116,160 feet - above the earth's surface from his back garden."
It's amazing the kind of pictures you can achieve with your camera if you really put your mind to it. This shot taken with a Canon Sure Shot is simply out of this world. There are some arguments that these pictures are fake and that the chance of the camera landing a mere 50 miles from where it was launched is impossible, but I'm prepared to give it the benefit of the doubt, it's nice to think that these kind of pictures are achievable. Will we now see an increase in the number of camera's being attached to balloons and sent up in an attempt to get our own pictures?
